Sumitomo Electric Group Global Awards 2026
On July 29, the Sumitomo Electric Group Global Awards ceremony was held at the Rihga Royal Hotel in Osaka. The purpose of this event was to recognize notable activities and team achievements of the past three years, since the previous ceremony in 2023. Furthermore, it was an opportunity to share the Group’s vision and business policies across our entire organization. With approximately 320 people from group companies around the world in attendance, this was truly a grand event.
I took the podium to provide an overview of the Mid-term Management Plan 2028, which was announced in May, and called upon everyone in the Group to unite in our effort to achieve the plan’s objectives. I also presented trophies and certificates of recognition to 64 teams for their activities and to 24 group companies for their initiatives.
The event overall was a very meaningful occasion because I had the chance to personally congratulate the awardees for the remarkable work they had accomplished in their respective business fields and geographical regions. I was very pleased to deepen my relationships with so many people as well.
I look forward to seeing further success from everyone in the future.
