Corporate Events

On August 3, we held the Sumitomo Electric Group Global Awards at the Rihga Royal Hotel Osaka. The event was intended to commend activities and teams in recognition of their outstanding achievements made in the past five years, and to share our visions and business policies throughout the Group. The event takes place every five years, with participants gathering in Osaka. This year, we held a very large-scale event, attended by more than 330 participants, including award winners, from Sumitomo Electric and Group companies both at home and abroad.

I explained the Mid-Term Management Plan 2025, released to the public this May, and asked the participants to involve everyone in the Group toward achieving the plan. At the award ceremony, I presented certificates and trophies to commend 70 teams’ activities and 28 Group companies’ efforts.
I look forward to their continued success.
