Ceremony to Welcome New Staff Members
On April 3, we held a ceremony to welcome 371 new employees.
Up until last year, the situation forced us to hold the ceremony remotely in a decentralized form. This year, we gathered together for the first time in four years. Seeing our new members face-to-face was a sobering experience for me as well.
With hopes for their future success and growth, I requested the following three points from the new members:
1. Thoroughly ensure safety and legal compliance.
2. Respond to changes promptly and flexibly.
3. Value good communication with others and good health.
Given that this fiscal year marks the first year of us working toward the Sumitomo Electric Group 2030 VISION, a long-term vision formulated last year, I hope that they will start their career lives with these points in mind as working professionals and members of the Sumitomo Electric Group.
I hope that the new members will play an active part as trusted working professionals and build successful careers at our company. Let's work hard together!
