Sumitomo Electric Group Announces Its 2030 Vision
On May 24, we announced our long-term vision, "Sumitomo Electric Group 2030 Vision." Under the slogans of "LIVING IN SAFETY AND COMFORT ON OUR GREEN PLANET” and “Relentlessly challenging ourselves to use Technology for Good,” this long-term vision provides a clear direction for the Group to take to realize growth toward 2030 and our commitment to making even further contributions to society.
Today, with the acceleration of transformational changes, such as GX, DX and CASE, we believe that it is critical to share our long-term direction throughout the Group and achieve growth and social contribution at the same time. With this background, we have formulated this long-term vision. The following is a brief overview of the vision.
Honoring both the tradition of the Sumitomo Spirit and the Sumitomo Electric Group Corporate Principles, we manage the Group based on the spirit of “contributing to the public benefit through business” while striving to ensure mutual prosperity with our stakeholders. Based on these basic beliefs, we will continue to “contribute to building a better society by pursuing Top Technology and innovation on a global scale, using the integrated capabilities of Sumitomo Electric Group”. We are committed to this Group purpose.
Looking ahead to 2030, it is increasingly important to achieve sustainability for our planet. In the Sumitomo Electric Group, we will unleash all of its capabilities to contribute to the evolution of a Safer and more Comfortable society that is also Green and environmentally friendly and continue to provide an extensive range of products and services for the development of infrastructure and industries. Acknowledging energy, info-communications, and mobility as our three key areas, the vision includes the future business environments of these and our strengths there, along with challenges to take on toward 2030 and our contribution to a green society.
With a corporate culture focusing on the environment, human capital, and compliance, the Sumitomo Electric Group will unlock its growth potential while also enhancing efficiency and striving to become a Glorious and Excellent Company. We are committed to these values, which we hold in common with our stakeholders, and we will share our achievements with them. We believe that if employees share the same awareness of striving to contribute to society, it will help realize a “LIVING IN SAFETY AND COMFORT ON OUR GREEN PLANET” and enable us to accomplish the targets that we have set.
