Fiscal Year 2025 Partners Meeting
On July 22nd, we held our 16th Partners Meeting. I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank the many companies who have supported the Sumitomo Electric Group’s businesses in various ways.
The event started with my greetings to all attendees. This was followed by a presentation from Senior Managing Executive Officer Hizume on the current business environment and our company’s general outlook. Next came a presentation by Procurement Division General Manager Sugioka on our group’s procurement policy, and then Advanced Materials Business Unit General Manager Sahashi provided an overview of the work being done by his division. The series of presentations was concluded by Business Development Unit General Manager Kamada, who spoke about the prospects of our grid-scale redox flow battery, a technology we have positioned as one of the pillars of future business growth.
After the talks there was an awards ceremony, at which time the Excellent Partner Award was given to four companies that made particularly significant contributions to our procurement activities in Fiscal Year 2024. Representatives of these four companies were each presented with a crystal trophy.
The formal event then led into a social gathering, where I had the chance to express my gratitude directly to the many partners with whom we work. Being able to speak with them in a personal way made the occasion a very meaningful one. Also during the social gathering, our guests were welcomed by the official mascot of the Osaka Expo, Myaku-Myaku, who visited us again this year.
Although the overall business environment is complex, unsteady and continues to change rapidly, in line with our company’s principle of the “Five-Way Win” we will continue to work closely with our partners to grow our group’s business in fair and equitable ways. We greatly appreciate the continued support of our partners.
