Fiscal Year 2026 Partners Meeting
The Sumitomo Electric Group’s 17th Partners Meeting was held on July 23 and was attended by representatives from many of the companies with whom we collaborate. I’d like to take this opportunity to once again express my sincere gratitude to these business partners for the variety of support they provide.
The event was comprised of two parts. The first part began with my opening remarks, which were followed by Senior Managing Executive Officer Hizume’s overview of the Group’s business operations. Presentations were then given by the Procurement Division’s General Manager Sugioka on our procurement policy and by Vice President Hato on the Mid-term Management Plan 2028 that was announced in May.
After the talks came an awards ceremony, at which time we recognized five companies that had made especially significant contributions to our procurement activities during the previous fiscal year. A crystal trophy inscribed with Excellent Partner Award was presented to each of the five companies.
The second part of the event was a social gathering. Even though this part was brief, it was still very meaningful as I had the chance to personally convey my daily appreciation to many of our partners. The gathering was further enlivened by the appearance of two characters: Sumeedy, the Sumitomo Electric Group’s official mascot, and Sufula, the official mascot of the World Masters Games 2027 Kansai, a sporting event that we are helping through sponsorship.
While the business environment continues to be marked by rapid change and uncertainty, the Sumitomo Electric Group is committed to growing our business in fair and equitable ways, jointly with partners and in accordance with our company’s principle of the Five-Way Win. We greatly appreciate the continued support of our business partners.
