As a Ramp-Up Coordinator within Central Manufacturing, I play a pivotal role in launching new production locations. One of my responsibilities, for example, is to promote adherence to SEBN standards, procedures, and rules at a new location in order to maintain consistency, quality, and compliance across operations. I’m also responsible for training and development, cross-department collaboration, project management, and continuous improvement. In sum, I help new locations become fully equipped to meet production goals while maintaining the highest standards of quality and operational excellence.
I joined the company because I was inspired by its commitment to excellence, innovation, and global impact in the field of production engineering. The opportunity to work on challenging projects resonated deeply with my passion for problem-solving and process optimization. This has not only enhanced my problem-solving skills but also allowed me to build bridges between teams and foster collaboration.
The most rewarding experience in my role as a Ramp-up Coordinator has been witnessing the successful launch of a new production location, knowing that my efforts directly contributed to the new site’s transition to full-scale operations. Implementing SEBN standards, organizing training programs, and fostering collaboration between local teams and central departments are challenges that are deeply fulfilling. Seeing a local team grow in confidence, achieve operational readiness, and hit project milestones is very satisfying and makes every challenge along the way worthwhile.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about learning new languages and exploring different cultures through travel, which further fuels my curiosity and drive to connect with people from all walks of life. I think this blend of professional adaptability and personal curiosity helps me contribute to a global organization like Sumitomo Electric.
