New Tagline for Optical Fiber Fusion Splicers and Full Renovation of its Website

Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. (Head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka; President: Osamu Inoue; hereinafter referred to as the Company) is pleased to announce that it has a new tagline, "One World, Connected", for its optical fiber fusion splicers. In line with the creation of the tagline, the Company has fully renovated the product website.

The Company has contributed to info-communication infrastructure since 1980, when its first optical fiber fusion splicer was released. In the long-term vision "Sumitomo Electric Group 2030 Vision," released to the public in May 2022, the Company’s value and purpose has been defined as “Contribute to building a better society by pursuing Top Technology and innovation on a global scale, using the integrated capabilities of the Sumitomo Electric Group.” In line with this purpose, the Company has newly created a tagline for its optical fiber fusion splicer business. The tagline represents the Company’s determination to accommodate the needs of customers around the world by applying new and inimitable technology, thereby contributing to keeping the world connected, as one.

(2) The Company has completely renovated its website with various improvements including:
　(a) automatic display of a product lineup suitable for each region,
　(b) section guiding viewers to product catalogs, manuals, and quotation inquiries,
　(c) a support page that contains support videos and apps,
　(d) aggregation of videos on the philosophy and mission of the Company’s optical fiber fusion splicer business.

Guided by the newly established tagline, the Company will continue its efforts to realize and support a connected “One World” through optical fiber fusion splicers. To that end, the Company will rally all forces in supplying products that satisfy the needs of customers across the world. In addition, the Company will take advantage of the fully renovated website and provide customers throughout the world with optimal information in a timely manner.
