Sintered ZnS lenses

The sintered ZnS lenses for far-infrared rays (10 μm band) are made from ZnS (zinc sulfide) powder, and suitable for mass production by molding process. These lenses can be manufactured with high productivity without using rare metals, achieving excellent supply stability. The original optical design technologies using diffractive optics achieve a practical optical performance compared with germanium lenses. The sintered ZnS lenses ensure stable optical performance at both high and low temperatures, with low temperature dispersion of refractive index.
