Steel cords for tire reinforcement
Steel cords, which are made from high carbon steel high-strength strands, are used to reinforce radial tires. These products are manufactured at the state-of-the-art plant of Sumitomo Electric Tochigi, which achieves world-class productivity. Products that meet the emerging needs, including higher strength, lower weight, and better riding comfort, have been marketed through joint development with tire manufacturers, and have been highly evaluated.
Bead wires
Bead wires, which are made from high carbon steel, are used to reinforce rims of tires. The products are manufactured in Indonesia and are delivered to tire manufacturers around the world.
