Sumitomo Electric Exhibits Next-Generation Interface Cable at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026
Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. will exhibit next-generation interface cables at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2026, the world’s largest exhibition of integrated audiovisual systems, to be held in Barcelona, Spain from February 3 (Tuesday) to 6 (Friday), 2026.
ISE has been held as the world’s largest exhibition in the field of audiovisual integration since it was first held in 2004, with approximately 1,000 companies participating from all over the world and over 180,000 visitors in 2025.
The next-generation cables that Sumitomo Electric will exhibit have a diverse lineup, such as the Thunderbolt™ 5 cables, which support the latest standard for high-speed transmission, and the DP80LL cables, which are compatible with DisplayPort™ 2.1, a standard for digital video and audio transmission. These products enable high-speed data transfer and high-definition video transmission, which makes them suitable for connecting to high-end docking stations and displays, and external graphics cards.
We sincerely look forward to welcoming you to our booth.

About Thunderbolt™ Cables
- By simply connecting the cable to a mobile computer, you can conveniently charge and establish data connections to Thunderbolt™ devices, such as hard disk drives and displays. The cable supports a highly versatile USB Type-C connector.
- The cable supports both daisy-chain connections and star connections using a hub with up to four Thunderbolt™ 4 ports, allowing for flexible device configurations.
- The ultra-thin coaxial cable used in our Thunderbolt™ cables combines excellent flexibility with high bend resistance. It offers superior maneuverability and enhances connectivity options, which makes it widely applicable in space-saving settings such as docking stations and 4K / 8K displays.
- Sumitomo Electric is an Intel-certified design partner responsible for Thunderbolt™ development.
About DisplayPort™ Cables
- DisplayPort™ is a digital video and audio interface standard developed by the Video Electronics Standards Association (VESA). The latest standard, DisplayPort™ 2.1, maintains backward compatibility with previous versions while supporting high-resolution video outputs such as 8K and 16K, as well as high refresh rates.
- The DP80LL cable that we will exhibit supports a data transmission speed of up to 80 Gbps, which makes it the fastest in the DisplayPort™ standard. Thanks to our proprietary technology that offers excellent low attenuation characteristics, it achieves high-precision and stable data transmission even at lengths of up to 3.0 meters.
