Launch of Back Turning/Grooving/Cut-off Inserts for Small Lathe/Autolathe Holders
Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. (head office: Chuo-ku, Osaka, President: Osamu Inoue; hereafter "our company") has expanded our lineup of small lathe/autolathe tools including the BTR type Inserts for SEC-MINI Tool Holder SBT type, the TGA type Inserts for SEC-Grooving Tool GWC type, and the GCG type Inserts for SEC-Grooving Tool GND type, for sale as of August 2024.
In recent years, due to rising demands and higher precision in sectors such as automobile and electronic equipment components, the demand for small lathe/autolathe tools has been growing year by year. Futhermore, precision parts machining has seen increasing use of difficult-to-cut materials and aluminum alloys, and the required shapes are becoming more diverse. In such machining, our tools contribute to reducing costs and improving productivity for our customers.
In order to respond to the various needs of our customers, our company has expanded the lineup of inserts for small lathe/autolathe, including BTR type inserts for SEC-MINI Tool Holder SBT type, TGA type inserts for SEC-Grooving Tool GWC type, and GCG type inserts for SEC-Grooving Tool GND type. In addition, the range of applications can be expanded through the expansion of insert shapes and grades.

Achieving outstanding chip control and stable machining with a wide selection of insert lineup.
Suitable for grooving, cut-off and facing applications.
