Sumitomo Electric to Exhibit at CIGRE 2024 Technical Exhibition

Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. will exhibit at CIGRE 2024 Technical Exhibition to be held in Paris, France from August 25 to August 30, 2024. The Company will introduce its power-related products and solutions that support the realization of a carbon-free society, such as direct current cross-linked polyethylene (DC XLPE) cables and dynamic cables.

The Company will exhibit a variety of products such as DC XLPE cables suitable for long-distance and large-capacity power transmission, dynamic cables essential for floating offshore wind power generation, and a manhole monitoring system that eases the burden of maintenance and inspection by remotely monitoring the state of underground power lines in manholes*1.
The Company will also present its achievements from various power cable projects worldwide, and information about its new factory to be built in Scotland, UK*2 and the German interconnector project*3.
 CIGRE 2024 Technical Exhibition is a world-leading power system technology exhibition, attracting more than 300 exhibitors and 10,000 visitors from the power industry in approximately 100 countries, featuring specialized technology and product exhibits, lecture sessions, and more.
