What is USB4 Technology?
The USB4 specification is a significant advancement aimed at introducing the next-generation USB design build, which enhances and extends the existing USB 3.2 and USB 2.0 architectures. This architecture is built upon the Thunderbolt™ protocol specification, recently contributed by Intel Corporation to the USB Promoter Group. It effectively doubles the maximum aggregate bandwidth of USB and allows for the concurrent use of multiple data and display protocols. Thunderbolt™ is High Speed interface developed by Intel. Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd is developing and producing Thunderbolt ™ cable as Intel partner.

Our USB4 40Gbps Cable has backward compatibility with other USB protocol such as USB2.0,USB3.2. Also, USB4 has compatibility with Thunderbolt™4, so you can use it with any Thunderbolt™ protocol. This cable can make cable solution fast and easy.

Please check the connector part of your device to confirm it is a USB certified device / Thunderbolt™ certified device , then you can use it.
Q2. Can I connect a USB4 cable to Thunderbolt™ supporting device？
USB4 meets all the Thunderbolt™ requirements including optional functions. Therefore , you can reliably connect to Thunderbolt™devices with USB-C connector.
Q3. Can I connect USB4 cable to a USB3 or USB2 supporting device?
USB4 cables are backward compatible and you can connect to USB devices. When cable connectors are USB-C connector and devices support USB-C connector, you can connect to any USB or Thunderbolt™devices.
Q4. Please let me know difference between Thunderbolt ™5, Thunderbolt™3 or 4, USB4 and USB3/DP.
