A Key Solution for a Green Society Redox Flow Battery: Safe Energy Storage with a Long Lifespan

In its long-term vision toward FY 2030, Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. has adopted a slogan, “Living in Safety and Comfort on Our Green Planet.” SEI President Osamu Inoue spoke on this theme in the Nikkei’s online edition in June 2025. His interview also touched on the three key areas of the Company’s growth strategy (energy, infocommunications, and mobility), as well as the potential of redox flow batteries, which are gaining interest as a safe, long-lasting, large-capacity battery solution.
