About the program
The Global Internship Program offers students a unique opportunity to gain practical experiences at Sumitomo Electric's R&D labs and corporate headquarters in Japan. The program started in 2012, and around 100 students from around the world have participated.

• You will see, firsthand, the daily operations at our company and experience what Japanese work culture is like.
• Almost all expenses are paid by the company, including airfare, accommodation, commuting costs, and most meals.
